About the Author

Norm Sorensen is at once a story-teller and a philosopher; one with a seemingly bottomless store of tales — amusing, inspiring, and sometimes heartbreaking. He relentlessly draws from the amazing array of books, papers, magazines, and eclectic reading material that he always needs to have close at hand. And fortunately for us, he is generous in sharing his insights.

The son of immigrants, he went to public school in Minneapolis, Augsburg College, the University of Minnesota, and on to Dallas Theological Seminary. There he got his Master's Degree in Theology, and subsequently served as a minister. The Second World War took its staggering price on his generation; during its course he landed on the shores of Normandy and survived the Battle of the Bulge.

For most of the rest of the century he had a small sign-painting business while he continued his loving service to God and neighbor, work he continues to this day, encircled by his children, grandchildren, and wife of 63 years. Now, at age 93, Norm has collected his lifetime of wisdom to share with others. Insights is a fascinating, inspirational guide for Christians, the faithful, and all others on a spiritual quest.

He is currently working on his next book.
