Robert Brown serves as a Managing Director of the Company and Head of Strategy and Corporate Development. He also serves as a member of firm’s management committee and is responsible for Investor Relations.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brown was Managing Director and head of Sales Planning & Performance Management for the Global Wealth & Investment Management Division of Bank of America. There, he had responsibility for sales strategy, planning and sales force effectiveness programs across all channels, including premier banking, brokerage and private banking, as well as the intermediary and direct institutional sales channels at Columbia Management Group, the bank’s asset management affiliate. He also had responsibility for governance of all major strategic initiatives and was a member of the firm’s Banking & Fiduciary and Investment Product Approval Committees.

Before that, he served as head of strategy and business development for Bank of America’s Commercial Finance Division where he was responsible for a range of business support activities, including planning, M&A, and strategic initiatives.

Earlier, Mr. Brown was Head of Structured Credit Products for Fleet Securities with responsibility for the firm’s securitization and credit derivatives platform, serving mid-sized corporate issuers, credit investors and other counterparties, while also supporting the bank’s portfolio management and risk capital objectives.

He began his career at Fleet in 1992 by completing its management training program before serving as a relationship manager in commercial banking. In 1996, he joined the newly formed Corporate Finance Group where he was responsible for identifying and developing investment banking opportunities, as well as providing planning support for the development of the firm’s capital markets platform, representing a range of non-investment grade credit and product capabilities. He later ran the firm’s Commercial Development Group with responsibility for strategic marketing and planning for the commercial bank.

Mr. Brown received a B.A. in economics from the University of Vermont and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. He also attended the University of London.
