Jeff Greene joined NewStar after spending the last four years as the owner and operator of Sea Fever Fishing, LLC, a commercial fishing enterprise in Harwich Port, MA. Sea Fever Fishing targeted giant bluefin tuna which were distributed for auction to the Tsukiji market in Japan.

Prior to that experience, Jeff spent the previous nine years at Fleet where he served as a Director in Fleet’s Media & Telecommunications Finance Group. As a member of that Group, Jeff managed a $400 million portfolio that consisted largely of Fleet-led middle market transactions throughout a variety of industries including; cable television, publishing and various telephony segments. Jeff worked closely with entrepreneurs as well as Syndications to structure and syndicate numerous leveraged debt capital transactions.

Jeff completed a two year Management/Commercial Credit Training Program at Fleet National Bank in Providence, RI in 1992. Jeff attended Bentley College where he earned a B.S. degree in Finance.
