David Kilpatrick joined NewStar's Middle Market group from Citibank, where he worked as a member of the structured lending group in the bank’s Global Wealth Management unit. In this capacity, he originated, structured and executed senior debt transactions with a primary focus on professional sports leagues & franchises as well as related industries. Previously, Mr. Kilpatrick spent seven years with Bank of America’s (formerly Fleet Bank) Media & Entertainment corporate banking group. Prior to banking, Mr. Kilpatrick spent four years working as a real estate acquisitions analyst specializing in office, mixed-use and industrial real estate investments for institutional clients.

Mr. Kilpatrick graduated with a B.A. in economics from Harvard University.
