Technical Data Sheet

DM Drive Bar
TDS-11

The M/RAD Model DM Drive Bar is a proven design and shall use standard hardware for a preloaded stiff, easy-to-use connection between the customer selected shaker and the slip plate. The DM drive bar shall use multiple attaching bolts to preload the two mating surfaces together with the shaker force going through the center of the connection. Preloading the DM drive bar with bolts is the attachment method. This method is simple to use and is routinely used to effectively attach fixturing to the shaker armature. The DM drive bar shall butt against the end of the slip table, and all slip plate attach bolts shall be accessible from the top side of the slip plate. The DM drive bar shall be removable from the slip plate. The DM drive bar shall be as short as possible, yet expand as much as feasible to the width of the slip plate for more uniform table motion. The slip plate attachment holes to the DM drive bar shall have wear washers and the attachment bolts shall be provided. The shaker mounting surface of the DM Drive Bar shall not extend beyond the customer selected shaker armature.

- M/RAD Model DM Drive Bar to allow shaker rotation without necessitating moving the slipplate.
- Welded AZ31B Magnesium Construction
- Permanently installed heavy steel bearing washers
- Shaker/Sliptable Mounting Hardware

The mating surface of the horizontal table and drive bar shall have a 63 microinch or better finish, providing the ability to transmit high force and high frequency excitation from the shaker to the horizontal table. The transmissibility of the DM drive bar to slip plate interface shall be as good as the transmissibility of the shaker armature to drive bar interface.
