Rehab Seating Systems Policy Statement

Payment Terms
Payment terms are net 30 days for institutional buyers and dealers unless otherwise negotiated. First time buyers are required to pay for the first order in advance using a credit card, registered check or personal check (products will not be shipped until check clears our account). Terms are available after initial order.

New Accounts
New accounts can only be established with:
-Approval of a RSS sales representative
-A valid purchase order
-A tax certificate where applicable
-Payment or credit references

Credit Card Payment
Rehab Seating accepts Visa and Master Card only.

Fire Safety Codes
RSS products can be manufactured to the standards set forth in California Technical Bulletin 133 and Boston Fire Safety Codes. When considering materials for use on a chair that needs to pass California 133/Boston, please contact RSS.

Shipping and Handling
Shipping is FOB destination. Products are shipped from Clinton, MA best way. Inside deliveries are available, but must be specifically requested with arrangements to receive the shipment.

Redelivery of Freight
When redelivery of merchandise is required because customer is not ready to accept merchandise, and no notification of this fact is given to the factory at least one week prior to the scheduled ship date, the actual costs for freight, restocking and re-handling, plus 5% of the order value, will be billed to the customer.

Shipment Damage Claims
RSS packs all of its merchandise to comply with carrier requirements. All shipments should be carefully inspected by the buyer before acceptance, and the delivering carrier should be requested to record any damage or shortage. If further damage is found after delivery, immediate inspection by the delivering carrier should be requested. Notification of concealed damages must be made to the delivering carrier within 15 days after delivery of merchandise. Carrier liability ceases after 15 days.

Caution: After obtaining a clear receipt for shipment, the delivering carrier is no longer responsible for damage or shortages.

Warranty
Standard warranty is 2 years on parts.

Return Policy
Chairs sold to private individuals are not returnable. Damaged materials and all items specially built to order cannot be returned under any conditions.

RSS will not accept return of materials without written consent if materials shipped are as acknowledged. Return shipments when accepted are subject to a re-handling and re-stocking charge, the amount of which will be determined after the merchandise is received and inspected. All freight or express charges must be prepaid on return shipments; otherwise, they will not be accepted.

On Site Evaluation
On site evaluations are permitted within certain ground rules that are designed to protect both parties to the transaction. The primary criteria for an evaluation are listed below.

1. The order must be for multiple units. Evaluations are not permitted for one chair.
2. The potential buyer must attest that the products under evaluation are budgeted for purchase within 30 days of completion of the evaluation.
3. The evaluation period is typically 2 weeks. Extended periods may be granted under certain situations.
4. An on site contact person must agree to a 10 minute on line demonstration with a customer support person at RSS to review features and benefits of the products to be evaluated.
5. The potential buyer must provide RSS or an authorized dealer with the following information;

a. Model number and description of the units under consideration.
b. Number of units to be purchased.
c. Cushion color(s)
d. Name and contact information of person(s) conducting the evaluation.

6. In addition, the potential buyer must provide RSS with a conditional or evaluation purchase order that includes the information above plus the following.

a. An agreed upon price including all discounts.
b. An estimated shipping cost
c. Warranty information

7. RSS will provide one brand new unit for evaluation. This unit is part of the total order and will be kept by the buyer if the evaluation is successful. The remainder of the order will be shipped following successful completion of the evaluation.
8. If the evaluation is not successful, the evaluating party agrees to pay for return shipping and assumes total liability for the evaluation unit’s safe return to RSS. The evaluating party also agrees to provide RSS with specific reasons for rejecting the chair.
