Material Specifications

The wood frame is fabricated from northern hardwoods such as maple and ash. All machine joints are mortise and tenon and shall be true and tight and glued in accordance with the highest standards in the industry for medical specialty seating.

Finishing materials shall be the highest grade obtainable for/and aproved by healthcare facilities. The final coat shall retain color and be resistant to such agents as alcohol, ink, mild cleaning solvents, and cold and hot water.

The cushions covers and other padding are fabricated from 34 ounce expanded fire retardant vinyl tha meets the most stringent fire codes e.g. Cal133 and has durable and superior strength. In addition the vinyl has PERMABLOCK 3 (from Spradling International) protection that is antimicrobial, antibacterial, antistain, sulfide stain resistant, superior abrasion resistant and easily cleaned using mild soap and water. Spills and accidents should be cleaned imediately for best results.

In addition to our standard materials and color options, the customer may supply RSS with the fabric they would like to use on the chair(s) they order. The customer must call RSS to ascertain the amount of material that would be needed to fulfill the specific order.
