The contemporary style house occupies a small clearing within a greater woodland context. Its position on a ridgeline of bedrock outcroppings presented unique challenges as well as opportunities. The masterplan needed to accomplish three primary objectives: to reinterpret the configuration of existing features in order to better integrate these elements with the landscape, establish a stronger connection between the inside and outside, and, finally, improve the circulation and access within the site. The build portion of the project was completed in two phases, the first for the area behind the house and second for the area in front of the house.
