What is Gyrokinesis®?
Gyrokinesis, originally called Yoga for Dancers, is an exercise system that works the entire body through the natural elements of spinal movements: arch (forward) and curl (backward), sideways arch (left and right sidebend), spiral (left and right twist) and circular. Through rhythmic and undulating exercises, the system gently articulates the joints while developing muscular strength and flexibility.

Stimulating the body’s internal organs and nervous system, this exercise method opens up energy pathways and increases efficiency in circulatory system. Unlike traditional yoga, postures are not held for long periods of time. Instead, movements are more fluid and harmoniously connected through the use of synchronized breath, making exercises feel more like dance and thus, “yoga for dancers.”

What is Gyrotonic^®?
The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM^®, developed by Juliu Horvath, is a new exercise system using Gyrokinesis principles as the basis to exercise the musculature while mobilizing and articulating the joints.
