A pleasant fifteen-minute walk from Place St. Pierre, Petion-Ville's central square, brings you out of the small-city bustle up to Sunset Suites. This pleasant, quiet little hotel has six full rooms, each with bathroom and hot water. There's a T.V. in the modest lobby, and a small swimming pool outside in the garden.
Though the Sunset Suites does not have full kitchen service, meals can be ordered from the Café des Arts (same owner), one of Petion-Ville's best restaurants, and delivered. If you plan to go out and party at night, you will not be disturbed by the very loud live music coming from nearby Ibo Lélé nightclub on weekend nights during the festive holidays. These are Christmas/New Year (Dec.20-Jan6), the time leading up to Carnival (all of February) and occasional weekend nights during the Summer vacation.

If you need to have a lot of meetings at your hotel with people working in the city, this is the perfect location because they don't have to go far to reach you. This is important these days because the automobile traffic has become a real challenge!

Located near Luly, the area's largest fishing village, about 45 minutes (when there is no traffic) from Port-au-Prince.

Kyona is a sandy beach, and offers a restaurant and bar. Twenty-four rooms are available, with ceiling fans. Lots of space for children. Boat rides offered by area fishermen to Les Arcadins, a natural marine preserve consisting of three small inhabited islands surrounded by coral reefs, about an hour's sail from the coast. If you go to Les Arcadins, remember that taking coral and shells is illegal!

Owned and operated by a former mayor of Les Cayes, La Cayenne is located in town near the port.
