Awarded a fifteen month grant August 2012 to pilot skills training initiative leading to valuable vocational certifications for STRIVE graduates. Over the course of this initiative Boston STRIVE will help 46 clients gain certifications in MS Word and Excel. http://foundation.walmart.com/

CSNDC has provided financial literacy to STRIVE participants since 2009. CSNDC’s workshops guide our clients to better understand financial planning, budgeting, and to make responsible decisions to improve their financial situation. http://www.csndc.com/
X-Cel
Since 2003 X-Cel, Inc. has delivered adult education and GED training to our clients with impressive results. During the course of each five week training cycle X-Cel, Inc. works directly with STRIVE participants for twenty hours. http://www.x-celeducation.org/
Bunker Hill Community College
Since 2005 any STRIVE graduate is eligible to earn three (3) Prior Learning (PL) credits applied to the following courses: Career Exploration (GEL 948); Computer Essentials (CIT 101); and, Applications/Concepts (CIT 110). http://www.bhcc.mass.edu/
Boston Cradle to Career Grants Initiative
Funded by the Philanthropic Initiative through an anonymous donor, Boston STRIVE was awarded a grant in 2012 and 2013 to improve skills and educational opportunities for low-income young adults in Boston by raising aspirations through STRIVE’s job readiness training model. http://www.tpi.org/
STRIVE for the Future
Boston STRIVE was awarded a 26 month sub-grant in 2012 from STRIVE National to lead job readiness, employment services, vocational training, and an array of youth development activities for older youth (ages 18-24) to support their educational and personal development. This initiative, funded by the US Department of Labor, includes a number of local partners including Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, Community Servings, The Labouré Center, The Work Place, Codman Square Health Center, courts, probation, and employers. http://www.dol.gov/
