tarlight’s wish granting program differs from the others.        Starlight grants wishes to children between the ages of 4 and 18. We do not limit our wishes to just children with life threatening diseases. We accept children who are seriously, chronically or terminally ill. Common illnesses of Starlight’s children include but are not limited to—cancer, leukemia, kidney disease, cystic fibrosis, AIDS, muscular dystrophy, spinal bifada, heart disease and cerebral palsy.        Wish granting makes dreams come true for Starlight’s children. We have granted nearly 600 wishes so far at an average cost of $2,500 each.        We involve the entire family in the wish and our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to make each wish, a once in a lifetime experience!       "Seeing a child’s smile when their dream come true is something you never forget!
